Books, audio books, and magazines may be loaned for up to two weeks. DVDs may be loaned for up to seven days. All items may be renewed if not on a reserve list. Renewals may be placed by telephone. Materials may be returned when the Library is closed in the book return box near the front door of the Town Office.
Free membership to residents of Red Rock and surrounding communities. The Library is available for non-profit groups to hold meetings when the Library is closed.
A large assortment of reference material is available for use within the library. Items include encyclopedias, atlases, magazines and on-line databases. Back issues of The Nipigon Red Rock Gazette are available.
In partnership with Industry Canada, four CAP computers with internet capabilities are available during library hours. Usage is limited to 30 minute sessions if others are waiting. Patrons must sign an Internet usage agreement before using the Internet. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Students from 12 to 17 must have a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian.
The Red Rockin’ Readers and Tea & Trifles meet at the library on the first Monday of every month at 7 PM to discuss their latest book choice.
Kid’s Story hour:
Once a month the library offers a story hour session for children aged 4-8 years old. Children under age 4 are welcome to attend with a parent or caregiver.
